Many DVD burners are limited to using certain DVD formats and disc speeds, you may need to check the DVD drive manual, box or manufacturers website for exact specifications. I have learnt something interesting from this. With just a few clicks, you can archive your videotape collection onto DVD/CD. I would never have thought about compatibility issues. All i need now is to get a scart to hdmi convertor and i can then link up my old phillips vhs recorder with windows 10 laptop. I have tried it and it works perfectly after windows 10 advised me to download an mpeg 2 extension for the sound. Tried one or two tests without success and then altered the settings to run the program as an administrator. However, following your expert guidance i right clicked the setup.exe file and got access to the compatibility mode.
When trying to install it i got the same message "access is denied". Select your preferred drive from the dropdown menu. E:PLDS is the disc drive of the PC below the table. D: HP is the standalone drive sitting on the desk. There are two DVD writers on the machine. If you selected 'Save as media file' you may proceed to the next box. Then i copied the directory to my new windows 10 laptop. If you selected 'Burn video to DVD', you must choose a DVD writer. What i did was to load the vhs to dvd 3 se disc onto my old win 7 laptop which does not work very well and copied the entire contents of the directory onto a memory key.
